REVIEWS

Christine Simpson creates a striking vision of the future in her digital photo collages. The sea level rises; Bird’s nests float on the water; while roses drown. She captures the power, beauty and fragility of Nature threatened by Climate Change. The economy is fighting with nature.  Simpson wants to win. Humanity may disappear but Nature will always pull through. This is a beautiful and poignant show of work.

Christine’s art can be seen in Museum Belvedere, Heerenveen from the 23rd June to 23rd September.”

"THE ARTWORK OF CHRISTINE SIMPSON IS VERY FRESH AND HAS AN ABUNDANCE OF LIGHT AND COLOURS.

IT SHOWS A COMPLEX STRUCTURE AND FLAWLESS FINISH. THE PHOTOGRAPHS POSSESS CRAFTMANSHIP AND EXQUISITENESS. THE DETAILS CONTINUE TO DRAW ATTENTION.  WE ARE CHARMED BY THE EXTRAVAGANCE AND ALMOST SURREAL COMPOSITION. THIS IS RENE MAGRITTE IN PHOTO STYLE."
